International Orange Chorale

Becca Schonberg

Becca grew up in downtown Manhattan where she sang and toured with the Young People's Chorus (YPC) of New York from the ages of eight to eighteen. At Cornell University, she majored in Comparative Literature and learned that not only are there places outside of New York City, but many of them are quite wonderful. She also sang for four years with the Cornell University Chorus and its all-female a cappella subset, After Eight.

After graduating, she moved to San Francisco, where she worked as a Discourse Analyst for three years before starting law school at Boalt Hall in the fall of 2009. After enjoying two IOCSF concerts in her very own office building, she was thrilled to join the group in the spring of 2008 and is consistently amazed by the group's passion, dedication, and unadulterated talent. She has also been a member of St. Dominic's Solemn Mass Choir and Sacred & Profane at various points in time. She is always happy to sing renaissance motets. Really. All you have to do is ask.

When not singing, she enjoys browsing the used book stores on Valencia St., attempting to learn new languages, knitting, swimming, eating cereal, talking her houseplants into believing it's always summer in the apartment, drinking bourbon in the bathtub, and vegetables of all kinds.
