Valerie Moy
Valerie is a second alto who loves vocal warm-up exercises. Valerie first started singing when she was a toddler, and has only taken a year off since. While growing up, Valerie learned to play piano, flute and drums (but can't do any of that anymore). Some favorite composers include Vivaldi, Mahler, and Jeremy Faust.
Valerie originally hails from San Francisco and loves it here. Valerie works in publishing for a living during the day and watches Law & Order reruns at night, saving Sunday nights for dramatic IOC rehearsals. Valerie went to the same high school as two of the founders of IOC, and one of their moms was her elementary school librarian. Previous to IOC, Valerie has sung with UCLA Random Voices, UCSD Tranquility, the La Jolla Symphony Chorus and the San Francisco Girls Chorus, but enjoys IOC because it's superfantastico! Currently, other musical pursuits include the SFGC Alumnae Chorus and singing for other people's weddings (friends, not strangers).
Valerie lives in the sunny Mission with her taller half and awesome roommates. In her spare time, she enjoys collecting shoes and eating ice cream.
