Freshly Squeezed
New Music. New Voices. Every Season.
IOCSF champions living composers with an annual stream of premieres β from short debuts to major anniversary commissions.
The International Orange Chorale of San Francisco (IOCSF) is proud to champion todayβs composers and the choral music of tomorrow.
Through our Freshly Squeezed program, weβre reimagining what it means to nurture and celebrate new works for voices β and to share them with you every year.
How It Works
Every season, IOCSF premieres brand-new music by living composers β from emerging voices to established names shaping the future of choral sound. Our five-year cycle ensures a steady stream of creativity, inspiration, and discovery.

A year-long collaboration with an invited composer, including:
Performance of an existing work on our fall program

Rehearsal visits and creative exchange with IOCSF singers

πΉ The Full Pour β Major Anniversary Commission
Every fifth season, IOCSF commissions a large-scale 15β20 minute work for choir and chamber ensemble β marking a milestone in our ongoing Freshly Squeezed journey.
Together, these three phases form a rotating cycle of premieres and commissions:
